Emission Reduction and Efficiency Increase: Recycling and Reuse of Refining Slag

Recently, Dalipal's refining slag thermal recycling project has achieved good results, achieving a double harvest of solid waste emission reduction and resource utilization efficiency enhancement.

Aiming at the resource utilization of scrap steel slag produced in the smelting process, the company set up a research team to focus on the hot recycling of refining slag in the ladle refining process. Aiming at the problems and hidden dangers in the process, the research team faced up to the difficulties, and formed a standardized Feeding and slagging system based on a large number of statistics, calculations and deduction on the previous test and historical production data, and on the basis of full discussion and repeated simulation drills and verifications, and to ensure stable and reliable product quality.

In the second quarter, the recycling rate of ordinary steel refining slag has reached more than 70%, and the cost per ton of steel can be saved by RMB8.93, achieving a double harvest of emission reduction and efficiency increase, which marks another solid step forward for our company on the road of clean steelmaking.
